UK PM Says EU Reforms Deal Can Be Sealed
UK Prime Minister David Cameron yesterday after a dinner with European officials in Brussels insisted that a pathway to a deal on new terms for Britain’s membership of the EU has been found, but indicated that it would be hard work to finalise terms by the proposed deadline in February. The Prime Minister is looking for a new deal before holding an in-out referendum of the UK’s membership of the EU by the end of 2017.
In the final session of a choppy but positive week, the US Dollar has reversed part of its previous day’s gains against most of its majors. With speculation of a Federal Reserve (Fed) rate rise out of the picture, investors will now focus on today’s preliminary US services sector data for December to gauge the health of the economy at the end of 2015.
